The Health Unit Coordinator, under the direction of the Head Nurse on the unit, is responsible for coordinating non-clinical unit activites. The Unit Coordinator is responsible for clerical and receptionist duties as well as assisting with the management of resident accounts.General Responsibilities:
The Health Unit Coordinator must be proficient in resident-based electronic medical record (EMR) software currently used in the facility. They will assist in processing, communicating and transcribing the therapeutic and diagnostic orders of the medical staff. They are also responsible for maintaining Residents Medical Records and for communicating and scheduling care conferences.Qualifications:
High School diploma Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in computer based communication systems Be able to be bonded Knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical terminology Ability to comprehend automated office equipment - fax machine and copy machine Demonstrate ability to follow directions in unfamiliar and stressful situationsJob Type:
