Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Patient Care Coordinator to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for patients, ensuring a seamless experience from appointment scheduling to follow-up care. Duties Manage patient appointments by scheduling, rescheduling, and confirming upcoming visits using specialized patient management software and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Serve as a friendly and professional liaison between patients and healthcare providers through phone communication, email correspondence, and in-person interactions. Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details, medical history, and current medications, ensuring accuracy and completeness in compliance with health regulation policies. Assist patients with understanding health insurance coverage, billing procedures, and necessary documentation to facilitate smooth administrative processes. Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient records and sensitive information in accordance with privacy laws such as HIPAA. Support clinical staff by preparing medical documentation, updating electronic health records (EHR), and managing medical terminology accurately. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries promptly, guiding them through their healthcare journey, and ensuring a positive experience at every touchpoint. Experience Proven experience working in a medical office or healthcare environment with familiarity in medical administrative support roles. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook for documentation and communication purposes. Knowledge of health regulation policies related to patient privacy, data security, and compliance standards such as HIPAA. Experience using patient management software and Electronic Health Records (EHR) or Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems for managing patient information efficiently. Strong understanding of medical terminology to accurately interpret clinical notes and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle phone communication professionally while maintaining a warm, empathetic demeanor. Ability to type quickly and accurately to support efficient documentation processes. Familiarity with health insurance procedures, billing practices, and maintaining patient confidentiality is highly desirable. Pay:
$25.52 - $27.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
