Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Director to lead our behavioral health and mental health services. This vital role involves overseeing clinical operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and fostering a collaborative environment for our multidisciplinary team. The Clinical Director will play a key role in developing treatment programs, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, and advancing clinical research initiatives. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on individuals with diverse needs, including children, individuals with developmental disabilities, and those requiring crisis intervention or addiction counseling. Responsibilities Lead, supervise, and provide clinical oversight to therapists, counselors, case managers, and other clinical staff. Ensure the delivery of high-quality, ethical, and evidence-based behavioral health services. Oversee the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans. Provide clinical guidance regarding evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing. Conduct or oversee comprehensive patient assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and intake procedures within the scope of professional licensure. Provide clinical oversight of crisis intervention and coordinate appropriate responses for patients experiencing mental health or behavioral health crises. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, applicable New Jersey behavioral health regulations, clinical documentation requirements, and medical record standards. Review clinical documentation and ensure records are accurate, timely, complete, and maintained according to applicable requirements. Provide clinical supervision and guidance to clinical staff consistent with New Jersey licensure requirements. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and services across community, outpatient, residential, hospital, and other healthcare settings as applicable. Assist with the development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical programs and treatment protocols. Monitor clinical quality, outcomes, and adherence to established policies and procedures. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support ongoing staff development and training. Provide direct clinical services, including individual and/or group counseling, when appropriate and within the scope of the individual's New Jersey professional license. Maintain professional knowledge of behavioral health practices, applicable regulations, documentation requirements, and evidence-based treatment approaches. Experience Proven leadership experience as a Clinical Director, Clinical Supervisor, or senior clinical leader in a behavioral health, mental health, substance use, or related healthcare setting. Active, unrestricted New Jersey clinical licensure is required. Experience providing clinical supervision and oversight to behavioral health professionals. Experience with behavioral health assessments, treatment planning, clinical documentation, and crisis intervention. Strong knowledge of behavioral health practices, clinical terminology, and applicable healthcare regulations. Experience working with diverse populations and individuals with mental health, behavioral health, developmental, or substance use needs. Experience in outpatient, community-based, residential, hospital, or other behavioral health settings preferred. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and clinical decision-making skills. Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and provide effective clinical leadership.
Pay:
$110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
