Job Description

United Healthcare Specialty RX is a durable medical equipment supplier located in East Brunswick, New Jersey. We provide orthotic braces, continuous glucose monitors, and mobility equipment to patients referred to us by physician offices. We are hiring one Office Coordinator to run our front office and support daily operations. This position pays 21.00 to 26.00 dollars per hour, depending on experience. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for a total of 30 hours per week. This is an on-site position at our East Brunswick office. There are no evening, weekend, or on-call hours. Responsibilities You will open and close the office on schedule and keep it staffed and presentable during all posted business hours. You will greet and assist patients, physician office staff, and delivery drivers in person, by phone, and by email. You will receive incoming physician orders and clinical records by fax and email, log them, review each file for completeness, and follow up with the ordering office to request anything missing. You will maintain patient files, delivery records, complaint records, inventory records, and daily facility logs in accordance with our written policies. You will track incoming and outgoing shipments and file signed proof of delivery records. You will handle all patient information in accordance with HIPAA privacy requirements. You will greet accreditation surveyors and Medicare inspectors, notify the owner promptly, and retrieve any records they request. You will handle general office administration, including mail, scanning, filing, supply ordering, and vendor coordination. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. At least two years of experience in a medical office, healthcare, or insurance administrative role. Clear and professional written and spoken English. Working knowledge of email, word processing, spreadsheets, scanning, and electronic fax. Consistent attendance and punctuality. Our office is required to remain open and staffed during posted business hours. Legal authorization to work in the United States. Preferred qualifications Experience at a medical equipment, orthotics, or home health company. Familiarity with Medicare documentation requirements, including written orders, face to face notes, prior authorization, and proof of delivery. Previous experience during a healthcare accreditation survey or a Medicare site visit. Experience verifying insurance eligibility and benefits. A current HIPAA training certificate. Bilingual ability in Spanish or Hindi. What we offer Hourly pay of 21.00 to 26.00 dollars, depending on experience. A consistent daytime schedule with no evenings, weekends, or on-call hours.
