The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. The Patient Access Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for patients, families, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while ensuring a welcoming and efficient registration experience. This role is responsible for patient registration, insurance verification, financial clearance, collecting copays and referrals, and directing visitors, while supporting the Patient Access team to ensure timely, accurate, and compassionate services. As a Patient Access Coordinator, a typical day might include: Greet all visitors, patients, and families in a warm friendly manner in person and on the phone Provide visitors with visitor stickers and monitor that stickers are worn while visitors are on CSH premises Provide general information as requested, and direct visitors appropriately Determine the registration and or financial counseling needs of all patients who arrive for treatment Ensure that these patients are assisted by staff in a timely fashion in order to receive treatment as scheduled Request payment at time of service for co pays or other amounts due from the patient according to the Hospital's policy Collect insurance referrals from patients as needed Assist staff with other clerical duties, including patient registration and insurance verification as needed Log patient visits of patients in the hospital's information system Monitor lobby for safety Schedules ACC appointments and performs scheduling functions, confirms appointments, This role might be for you if: You thrive in a fast-paced environment. Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent required Minimum of one year of Hospital or Medical experience Ability to demonstrate the five Corporate Values of CSH Excellence, Compassion, Teamwork, Innovation and Fun Must exhibit customer service and interpersonal skills, as well as problem solving abilities Basic PC skills required
