Duties Assist physical therapists with patient setup, transfers, and manual handling to ensure safe and effective therapy sessions Support patients during exercises, providing encouragement and guidance to optimize rehabilitation outcomes Manage patient intake processes, including scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and verifying insurance information Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and session details while strictly maintaining patient confidentiality Prepare treatment areas by organizing equipment, ensuring cleanliness, and setting up therapy tools as directed by therapists Communicate clearly with patients regarding their care plans, post-therapy instructions, and safety protocols Support inpatient and outpatient care by understanding anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practices Qualifications Knowledge of physiotherapy techniques, rehabilitation procedures, and patient transfer methods Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to physical therapy Excellent client communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient service Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) required or obtainable upon hire Experience working with geriatric populations or in orthopedics, geriatrics, or post-acute care settings is highly desirable This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive environment dedicated to patient recovery.
