About Us:
Montclair Surgical Associates , a reputable bariatric and general surgery practice, is dedicated to providing exceptional care to our patients. We are seeking a professional, organized, and compassionate Medical Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our team and help ensure smooth daily operations.
Position Overview:
The Patient Care Coordinator will play a vital role in maintaining the practice's efficiency by providing top-notch administrative support and outstanding customer service to our patients. Key Responsibilities:
Greet and check in patients in a warm and friendly manner. Manage incoming phone calls, including scheduling appointments, addressing inquiries, and routing calls to appropriate staff. Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or other payments at the time of service. Maintain and update patient records in our scheduling system. Ensure the waiting area is tidy and organized. Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and medical staff. Assist with administrative duties such as scanning, faxing, and filing. Provide general support to other staff and perform additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience as a receptionist in a medical practice is preferred but not required. Proficiency in medical terminology, insurance processing, and EMR systems is an advantage. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Professional demeanor and appearance.
