Job Description

PRIMARY ROLE
Manage clinical staff and all treatment services Ensure agency compliance with all Federal, State, County regulations, and accreditation standards Implement clinical supervision and abide by all agency policies and procedures to meet CARF standards Participates in clinical chart audit evaluations and provides feedback and follow through for corrections needed by clinical staff for chart reviews.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assumes role and responsibilities of Clinical Director in his/her absence. Oversees and manages all clinical aspects of the treatment component of the agency and other clinic services. Assures compliance with federal, state and county regulations. Assure compliance with licensure regulations. Assures compliance with confidentiality regulations, patients' rights and clinic rules and regulations. Provides direct supervision and evaluates job performance of clinical staff. Makes suggestions concerning the hiring, discipline and termination of agency staff, with input from management staff. In accordance with agency policies and procedures, refers staff members whose job performance is unsatisfactory or has deteriorated to further evaluation with Clinical Director or Management Team. Reviews agency policies and procedures to meet all regulatory standards. Assures implementation and ongoing evaluation of agency policies and procedures. Supervises the admissions process. Makes clinical determination of patient's eligibility for admission, if necessary. Tracks agency census and reports information and trends to Management Team. Participates in the patient grievance and appeal process. Reviews and signs all patient and clinical reports, NJSAMS, and other related documents. Maintains a small caseload and performs in the role of Substance Abuse Counselor. Completes prior authorizations (ERLs - Extension Request LOCI) in NJSAMS as needed for caseload and if needed, to assist and/or supervise Supervisee caseloads. Responds to requests received for patient treatment information in accordance with confidentiality regulations. Prepares and/or oversees preparation of required clinical reports. Develops and assures compliance with clinic quality assurance protocols. Participates in Patient Care Committee and Quality Assurance Team as needed. Acts as liaison to professional community and maintains communications with outside facilities and agencies as needed. Assures compliance with regulations as to required in-service programs. Attends and participates in clinical staff, in-service trainings, and multidisciplinary meetings. Attends professional conferences, trainings, and meetings, as appropriate and/or required to maintain licensure (i.e. LCADC). Oversees group counseling services and makes a schedule as necessary. Provide individual and group counseling services as needed. Completes prior authorizations in NJSAMS as needed for caseload and if needed, assists and/or supervises Supervisees in this process

$75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
