Job Description
Lead Social Work/Psychology Clinician In this position, you will assist the Senior Psychologist School Based in providing clinical leadership and guidance to social workers, psychologists, and LCATs. Ensure implementation of best practices in early childhood mental health, behavior management, and social-emotional development. Serve as a resource for complex behavioral and mental health cases. Promote a program-wide commitment to Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and Positive Behavioral Supports (PBS) and provide supervision, mentoring, and coaching to clinical staff within the department. Guide, advise, coach, and serve as an integral part of our employee clinical support system. Serve as an accountability partner, who will assist in setting clinical goals for department members, and encourage responsibility and commitment. Offer support and encouragement and serve as a role model. Clinical guidance, support & mentorship to include Case consultationFidelity monitoringNew staff onboardingSupport with IEP goal implementation in the classrooms/therapy sessionsTeach/Coach/Supervise clinical staff (Psychologists/Social Workers) RequirementsMaster's Degree or Doctoral Degree in: School Psychology or Clinical PsychologyAppropriate state certification and/or licensure.
Minimum of 5 years of experience working with young children with disabilitiesMinimum 2 years of experience supervising staff.
Must be physically able to handle all aspects of the supervision of the day-to-day activities of preschoolers which may include, but not limited to, running, bending, and lifting up to 25Additional Knowledge, Skills and AbilityExperience supervising clinical staffTraining or certification in behavioral frameworks such as The Pyramid ModelCertified Safety Care Trainer (preferred) Strong Leadership and team-building skillsKnowledge of trauma-informed care and early childhood mental health practicesExperience working in multidisciplinary preschool special education settingsCommitment to Positive Behavioral Supports and strengths-based practicesProfessional integrity and ethical clinical practiceEssential FunctionsProvide supervision, mentoring, and coaching to clinical staff.
Support onboarding and ongoing professional development of social work and psychology personnelProvide coaching, and resources related to social-emotional learning and behavior supportWork collaboratively with educational leadership, teachers, related service professionals and familiesServe as a member of the multidisciplinary teamAnalyze service delivery effectiveness through dataMake sound clinical and administrative decisionsConduct Staff performance evaluationsProvide professional developmentPromote shared responsibility for student social-emotional developmentProvide leadership in selecting and implementing behavioral strategies and interventionsBuild staff capacity to support student social and emotional developmentSupport department leadership in maintaining quality and service integrityEnsure compliance with regulatory requirementsTraining and support to ensure accurate documentation and appropriate service deliveryContribute to ongoing program improvement and quality assurance effortsInterpret assessment data and assist in the development of treatment recommendations Conduct social-emotional and behavioral assessments. Participate in crisis prevention, intervention, and de-escalation planning.
