Job Description
Overview We are seeking an experienced Dental Front Desk Specialist to join our dynamic dental team! In this vital role, you will be the welcoming face of our practice, ensuring smooth daily operations and delivering exceptional patient service. Your expertise in dental administrative support, medical billing, and office management will help create a positive environment for both patients and staff. Responsibilities Manage patient check-in and check-out processes with professionalism and efficiency Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance verification, and handle claims submissions using systems like Epic, Meditech, Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and Athenahealth Schedule appointments accurately utilizing dental scheduling software and multi-line phone systems while maintaining excellent phone etiquette Review medical and dental records for accuracy and completeness in compliance with clinical confidentiality policies Assist with documentation review, coding (CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10), and billing procedures related to dental and medical services Maintain electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Meditech, eClinicalWorks, or other EMR/EHR platforms with precision Support office management tasks including filing, data entry (10 key typing), and managing patient information securely in accordance with HIPAA regulations Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, health insurance procedures, and clinical confidentiality policies Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth; familiarity with electronic health records management is essential Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations Demonstrated clerical experience including filing, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and medical billing Competent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing (10 key) for efficient data entry Ability to handle multiple priorities in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detai Customer service: 1 year (Required) Full - time position / alternate Saturdays Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering outstanding patient care through efficient office management.
