Job Summary:

The Clinical Director provides oversight to the therapy program and staff while also providing individual, family and group therapy to victims of abuse and their non-offending family members using evidence-based treatment modalities. The Clinical Director is responsible for ensuring the therapy program is in compliance with New York State and National Children's Alliance regulations and standards. The Clinical Director maintains a regular caseload, including evening hours as required to meet client demand. The Clinical Director oversees and implements linkage agreements with outside therapy offices and oversees referrals for children to offsite therapists. The Clinical Director is responsible for supervision of therapy program interns.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide individual, family, and group counseling to victims and non-offending family members using evidence-based treatment modalities, including TF-CBT; Complete and maintain current individualized treatment plans; Measure treatment progress by assessing improvement on clinical assessment tools; Document session notes, provide written reports as appropriate, and enter service data in a database; Maintain client treatment records per program and NYS standards and submit all data for agency statistical reports to funders in a timely fashion; Provide crisis intervention for clients receiving other services at the agency; Assist with the preparation of victims and witnesses for court when requested; Provide testimony, including expert witness testimony, in legal proceedings when requested; Attend meetings to represent the therapy program to include Child Advocacy Center Multidisciplinary Team meetings. Oversee intake process, manage the waiting list, and assign clients; Organize and coordinate referrals to outside therapy offices by overseeing, reviewing, and updating any necessary linkage agreements; Provide supervision and evaluation to clinical staff and any counseling interns, including weekly/monthly on-site formal clinical supervision and case review (individual and/or group supervision); Supervise advocates and/or interns in the delivery of individual trauma screenings; Offer emotional support to staff, including clinicians, as needed; Review counseling/therapy records for on-site therapists and interns to ensure completeness and accuracy; Ensure that therapy program staff and interns complete required documentation, including client records, reports, and other paperwork in a timely manner; Ensure flexibility of working hours for therapists to accommodate victim and/or family sessions during crisis situations; Provide onboarding support and training to new clinicians and therapy program interns working at or with the agency; Provide onsite training for staff or offsite training for partner agencies as needed; Keep policies, procedures, practices and counseling documents up to date with current ethical and HIPAA guidelines, as well as New York State Office of Children and Family Services and National Children's Alliance standards, to maintain compliance and accreditation; Research evidence-based assessment, evidence-based practices, evidence-informed practices, and promising practices for use in guidelines, practice development, and training; Oversee and enhance a clinical internship program; Oversee and enhance the tri-county therapy program; Maintain positive and professional working relationships with staff, management, and partner agencies; All other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or Program Director.

Job Requirements:

Must possess strong clinical skills and be well versed in trauma-informed and systemic approaches to treatments that promote evidence-based practices. Must possess strong organizational, verbal, and written communication and facilitation skills. Must be able to work independently. Knowledge of or familiarity with criminal, social and mental health services, criminal and legal systems in New York State. Must be able to participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours use of the CAC. Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with a variety of clients, interns, and community partners; The Clinical Director will comply with all Victim's Assistance Center's personnel policies and protocols. The Clinical Director will maintain client confidentiality at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's Degree or higher in mental health (Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy) Licensed in New York State ; LCSW preferred Two years of clinical experience providing evidenced-based trauma-focused interventions, including TF-CBT, required. Experience providing clinical supervision, preferred. Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle that can be utilized for work. Must maintain personal automobile insurance with a liability coverage limit of $100,000/$300,000. The Clinical Director position is a grant funded, full-time, salaried position. This position requires a flexible schedule and frequent travel throughout our service area (Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence Counties).

Pay:

$75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
