On-Site Summary:
The Supervisor, Clinical EMR Liaison (Primary Care) provides leadership and oversight for the EMR support function across the Primary Care network. This role is responsible for supervising EMR Coordinators and ensuring effective deployment, optimization, and sustainment of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) workflows that support high-quality pediatric care, operational efficiency, and provider satisfaction. The Supervisor partners with Primary Care leadership, Information Services, and clinical/operational teams to translate strategic priorities into standardized EMR workflows, education, and system improvements. This role drives consistency, accountability, and continuous improvement across EMR practices while developing team capability and supporting change initiatives.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervises EMR Coordinators, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, and professional development. 2. Leads EMR support operations across Primary Care, ensuring consistent, efficient, and compliant workflows. 3. Partners with Primary Care and Information Services leadership to prioritize EMR initiatives, enhancements, and issue resolution. 4. Drives standardization and optimization of clinical workflows, aligning EMR functionality with best practices and quality outcomes. 5. Oversee EMR training and education programs, ensuring effective onboarding and ongoing competency development for providers and staff. 6. Leads EMR implementations, upgrades, and new practice onboarding, ensuring seamless deployment and adoption. 7. Monitors team performance, system trends, and user feedback to drive continuous improvement and service excellence. 8. Ensures compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, Joint Commission) and organizational policies in all EMR-related activities. 9. Leads change management and communication efforts related to EMR updates, workflows, and system enhancements. 10. Serves as a key liaison and influencer, collaborating with interdisciplinary stakeholders to align EMR strategies with clinical, operational, and organizational goals.
Other information:
Technical Expertise Advanced knowledge of EMR systems (Epic preferred) and clinical documentation workflows. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to translate clinical and operational needs into system functionality. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel). Knowledge of healthcare operations, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Education and Experience 1.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in nursing required. 2.
Licensure:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio required. 3.
Certification:

Years of relevant experience:
Minimum 3 years of healthcare experience required, including EMR and/or informatics experience. Experience supporting clinical workflows and system optimization required. 5.
Years of supervisory experience:
Minimum 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
