Summary:
Assumes responsibility for the day today to supervision for the efficient, orderly, accurate and timely registration of patients who receive service from a Summa Health System facility. Coordinates with physicians, clinical supervisors and external sites following hospital policies and procedures to assure proper placement of patients. Responsible for employee scheduling and ensuring appropriate staffing levels. On-call Monday Thursday. Post high school level course in business, healthcare, or closely related field of study. Three (3) years experience in one of the following areas: patient access, medical records, insurance claim processing, customer service, or related public contact, patient accounting, hospital or medical office work. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.
