Job Description
2058 Baltimore Reynoldsburg Rd., Reynoldsburg, OH 43068 Seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to support patient access, scheduling, and front office operations in a fast-paced dental environment. This position serves as a primary point of contact for patients and plays a key role in delivering an excellent patient experience. Key Responsibilities Greet and assist patients in person and by phone in a professional and courteous manner Schedule patient appointments and manage provider calendars Verify insurance eligibility and explain benefits to patients Collect co-payments and process patient payments Coordinate patient flow between front office and clinical teams Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in Dentrix Ensure compliance with HIPAA and patient privacy regulations Address patient questions and concerns and escalate issues as appropriate Collaborate effectively with clinical staff May be asked on occasion to assist at neighboring locations Required Qualifications High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalent Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English for patient care, safety, and documentation Strong customer service and communication skills Basic computer proficiency Ability to work full-time, Monday through Friday Professional demeanor and patient-focused approach Successful completion of a background check is required Preferred Qualifications Previous experience as a dental assistant Active radiology license Previous experience in a dental or medical office Experience using Dentrix practice management software Knowledge of dental insurance verification and billing Bilingual skills (preferred but not required) Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Life insurance 401(k) with employer match Paid Time Off (PTO) Federal holidays off Promotion from within and opportunities for career growth Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout the clinic for extended periods Ability to bend, reach, lift, and carry up to 25 pounds Ability to perform repetitive motions, including hand and wrist movements Ability to see, hear, and communicate effectively to perform job duties safely Ability to work in a clinical environment with exposure to noise, chemicals, and bodily fluids, using appropriate protective equipment Equal Employment Opportunity Statement Equal Opportunity Employer and complies with all applicable federal and Ohio employment laws.
