Friday Position Summary:
The Clinical Coordinator is a driven, high-performing leader responsible for overseeing the daily operations and development of the back-office clinical team. This individual excels in fast-paced, dynamic environments and takes pride in producing high-quality, detail-oriented work. As a proactive problem solver, the Clinical Coordinator takes the initiative to identify challenges, create solutions, and implement efficient systems that enhance both team performance and patient care. Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Workflow Optimization
- Identify workflow challenges and develop creative, scalable solutions for the team and clinic
- Design and implement new processes, protocols, SOPs, and checklists
- Lead by example and inspire team adoption of new or updated workflows
- Supervise and hold clinical staff accountable for daily responsibilities and overall performance
- Conduct back-office team meetings and training sessions on workflow enhancements
- Promote collaboration between the clinical team, front office, management, and providers Clinical Operations & Oversight
- Coordinate daily clinical operations to ensure smooth patient flow and optimal provider scheduling
- Oversee Mohs surgery schedule, ensuring the Mohs goal for the schedule is reached and coordinating to get patients on the schedule
- Manage dermatology supply inventory, including injectables, biopsy kits, cryotherapy, etc.
- Oversee maintenance of clinical equipment (cryostat, autoclave, surgical tools)
- Provide hands-on support as needed, including assisting with cosmetic procedures
- Oversee pathology workflow, ensuring timely processing, documentation, and follow-up communication with providers and patients
- Oversee OSHA and CLIA compliance, including weekly and monthly tracking
- Oversee quality control for Mohs slides and CAP proficiency testing for the lab
- Review MA dashboards for timely patient follow-up and delegate outstanding items to the team
- Actively participate in clinical quality improvement efforts, addressing workflow inefficiencies and identifying opportunities to enhance the patient experience Training, Coaching & Development
- Onboard and train new clinical team members
- Provide input on clinical staff hiring and evaluations
- Deliver HIPAA and compliance training for back-office staff
- Cultivate strong relationships with team members and provide continuous coaching Communication & Administration
- Act as primary liaison for patient communications regarding back-office tasks and follow-up
- Triage and resolve patient complaints with professionalism and empathy
- Attend and contribute to leadership meetings and webinars
- Collaborate with the admin assistant, practice manager, and physician leadership to implement clinic goals Quality & Compliance
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives
- Provide pathology oversight and documentation support
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 1+ year of clinical or back-office supervisory experience; dermatology preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
- Self-starter with the ability to manage and execute projects independently
- Proficient in clinical workflow design, training, and system implementation
- Detail-oriented, organized, and deadline-driven
- Demonstrates CDA's core values and culture in behavior and leadership
- Proficient in EMR systems and clinic operations software
- Experience in managing Mohs, pathology, or cosmetic dermatology workflows is a plus

Pay:
$1.00 - $2.00 per hour
