Job Overview Sleep Apnea Dental Center is seeking an experienced, friendly and dependable Medical Front Desk & Patient Care Coordinator to join our Cranberry Township office. This is a key front-office position with significant patient interaction. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of the front desk, enjoys helping patients and can keep a busy medical/dental office organized and running smoothly. Answering incoming phone calls and providing excellent service to both current and prospective patients is a major responsibility of this position. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing a busy phone line while also assisting patients in the office and completing administrative responsibilities. Responsibilities Greet patients and provide a friendly, professional front-desk experience Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally Assist patients with questions, scheduling, cancellations and appointment changes Schedule and confirm patient appointments Follow up with patients regarding appointments, treatment and outstanding needs Verify insurance eligibility and benefits Assist with insurance prior authorizations Collect and post patient payments Maintain accurate patient demographics, insurance information and documentation in the EMR Obtain necessary documentation from referring physicians and dental offices Communicate professionally with referring providers and their staff Coordinate with laboratory partners and track dental sleep-apnea devices Monitor outstanding patient and administrative tasks to ensure timely follow-up Help maintain an organized, efficient and welcoming front office Follow HIPAA requirements and maintain patient confidentiality Work collaboratively with clinical and administrative team members Qualifications 3+ years of medical or dental front-office experience preferred Experience answering phones and working directly with patients or customers Excellent verbal and written communication skills Friendly, professional and patient-focused demeanor Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage multiple tasks in a busy office Comfortable learning and working with electronic medical record (EMR/EHR) systems Experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations preferred Experience collecting and posting patient payments preferred Dependable and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team Understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements Schedule Full-time, approximately 36-40 hours per week Monday through Friday Typical hours approximately 8:00 AM-4:00 PM No evening shifts No weekend shifts Compensation & Benefits $18-$22 per hour, based on experience Paid holidays Paid vacation after one year Consistent weekday schedule No evenings or weekends About Sleep Apnea Dental Center Sleep Apnea Dental Center is a specialized dental practice focused on helping patients with obstructive sleep apnea through oral appliance therapy.
