Summary Directs, manages and provides patient care in accordance with department policy and procedure. Coordinates care, oversees staffing, guides and mentors assigned team to ensure treatments for the patient population are rendered appropriately. Manages material, financial, and human resources within assigned area. Assumes accountability for the development and implementation of programming and services within area of responsibility. Job Duties Conducts staff training sessions on CPAP device programming including, proper configuration of pressure settings, ramp, humidification, and comfort features as well as proper documentation and troubleshooting. Manages clinical operations, business and financial planning, and quality improvement projects. Ensures staff are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to configure devices safely and accurately. Serves as a subject matter expert for CPAP device setup to support department. Provides direct patient care, as needed, to support department staffing needs. Performs functional tests and quality checks before dispatch. Minimum Qualifications Associate's Degree Registered Respiratory Therapy program accredited by the commission of accreditation for Respiratory Care 1 year in one of the following settings: Sleep Medicine, home health care, hospital, physician office setting. In-depth understanding of disease processes related to

CPAP/NIV

utilization, including but not limited to PAP adherence, PAP pressure adjustments, mask fittings and hospital to home sleep apnea care management. Demonstrated knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, and standards as set forth by regulatory agencies and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Strong verbal and communication skills. Ability to organize and coordinate work within schedule constraints and handle emergent requirements in a timely manner. Ability to exercise judgement in making critical decisions. CRT
