Job Summary Join our dynamic culinary team as a Line Cook/Prep Cook, where your passion for food and culinary skills will shine! In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality ingredients and dishes, ensuring all food is cooked to perfection, and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary expertise while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. Duties Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, ovens, fryers, and food processors Follow food safety standards and proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and hygiene Assist with meal preparation for both daily service and catering events Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen appliances through regular cleaning and sanitation Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate food production and meet service timelines Support menu planning efforts by preparing ingredients in advance and managing portion control Qualifications Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable Proven food preparation and cooking skills within a restaurant or food industry setting Strong knife skills with slicing technique expertise for efficient ingredient prep Knowledge of safety standards in food production and food safety management practices Ability to follow recipes accurately and adhere to meal preparation guidelines Experience operating kitchen equipment safely and effectively Excellent communication skills to collaborate with kitchen team members Basic understanding of catering processes and food industry regulations Embark on a culinary journey where your skills make a difference! Pay:
$16.00 - $18.25 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 35.0 per week
