Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Patient Coordinator and Receptionist, where your energetic and compassionate approach will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. Our clinic is focused on informed consent, parental choice, longer visits and joined decision making with no vaccine coercion. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming environment while efficiently managing administrative tasks. Your expertise in medical office operations, EMR systems, and patient service will help streamline clinic workflows and enhance patient experiences. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine administrative excellence with healthcare support, fostering a positive and organized clinic atmosphere. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing exceptional customer service with professional phone etiquette and friendly demeanor Schedule appointments using electronic health record (EHR) systems ensuring accurate documentation review and appointment coordination Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance verification procedures for Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, and other payers Manage patient intake processes, including data entry, medical history collection, and updating electronic medical records (EMR systems) like eClinicalWorks or Dentrix Maintain accurate medical records by filing documents securely and managing health information in compliance with HIPAA regulations Assist with administrative tasks such as answering multi-line phone systems, managing office supplies, and supporting clinic management activities Skills Extensive experience with EMR systems including Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, Dentrix, Eaglesoft or similar platforms Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service excellence; bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse populations Familiarity with HIPAA compliance standards to ensure confidentiality of protected health information (PHI) Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), typing (including 10 key), and general computer skills for efficient data entry and documentation Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in medical records management This role is paid and offers an engaging environment where your organizational talents and healthcare knowledge will directly impact patient care quality.
