Job Description

MonArk ABA Therapy is a BCBA and woman-owned ABA company committed to providing ethical, collaborative, and high-quality ABA services to children and families. We are a growing company focused on expanding access to care across Northwest Ohio, including rural and underserved communities where services may be limited. At MonArk, we prioritize culture, ethics, clinical quality, teamwork, and meaningful client outcomes. Our owner serves as the OHABA Public Policy Co-Chair, advocating for ethical ABA services and improved access to care for children and families in rural communities. The Clinical Director role is ideal for an experienced BCBA who is ready to lead across multiple clinic locations while remaining actively involved in clinical care, staff development, quality assurance, and interdisciplinary collaboration. The MonArk Model The MonArk Model is built around intensive collaboration between ABA and therapy team members. Our clinics include therapy professionals such as SLPs, OTs, COTAs, RBTs, BCBAs, and other team members working alongside one another to support the whole child. The Clinical Director helps strengthen this model by supporting collaboration across disciplines, promoting consistent clinical expectations, and helping teams problem-solve around communication, behavior, sensory, social, adaptive, and daily living needs. This role requires a leader who values ABA services that are ethical, individualized, medically necessary, and integrated into a team-based clinic environment. Position Summary The Clinical Director provides clinical leadership and oversight for two MonArk ABA clinic locations. This position supports BCBAs, Program Managers, RBTs, trainees, and therapy team collaboration while ensuring services are ethical, high-quality, payer-compliant, and aligned with MonArk's clinical standards. The Clinical Director is responsible for maintaining a minimum of 20 billable hours per week while also assisting with Program Manager support, clinical quality assurance, staff development, supervision systems, and clinical problem-solving across assigned locations. The billable hour expectation is not tied to carrying a direct ongoing caseload independently. Instead, billable hours may be met through clinically appropriate and payer-authorized activities such as supervision, assessment support, treatment plan updates, caregiver training, protocol modification, clinical consultation, and other BCBA-level services based on organizational and client needs. This position requires a minimum of 3 years of BCBA experience, including demonstrated experience providing quality supervision to supervision students who are accruing supervised fieldwork or working toward certification. Key Responsibilities Clinical Leadership Across Two Locations The Clinical Director will: Provide clinical oversight and leadership for two assigned MonArk ABA clinic locations Support consistency in clinical expectations, documentation, supervision, and programming across both sites Assist Program Managers with clinical problem-solving, team communication, staff support, and quality improvement needs Partner with Branch Managers, Program Managers, Lead Clinicians, BCBAs, RBTs, and therapy team members to support smooth clinic operations Promote a positive clinic culture focused on ethics, teamwork, client progress, and staff growth Serve as a clinical resource for complex client needs, treatment planning questions, behavior support concerns, and interdisciplinary collaboration Support consistency in clinical service delivery without being required to carry a direct ongoing caseload Quality Assurance The Clinical Director will assist with quality assurance to ensure services are clinically appropriate, ethical, and compliant with payer, BACB, HIPAA, and company expectations.
Quality assurance responsibilities may include:
Reviewing treatment plans and behavior intervention plans for quality and medical necessity Reviewing documentation for accuracy, consistency, and payer compliance Monitoring supervision requirements and clinical oversight expectations Supporting timely completion of reassessments, updates, parent training, and program modifications Identifying trends in documentation, programming, supervision, or staff performance that require follow-up Assisting with corrective action plans related to clinical quality, when needed Supporting preparation for audits, payer reviews, and internal quality checks Ensuring clinical recommendations are ethical, individualized, and data-driven Support for Program Managers The Clinical Director will assist Program Managers by providing clinical leadership and support related to: Client programming concerns Staff performance concerns connected to clinical implementation Clinical workflow barriers Training needs within the clinic Parent/caregiver concerns requiring clinical input Interdisciplinary collaboration with SLP, OT, COTA, and other therapy team members Quality assurance follow-up Staff development and clinical consistency across teams The Clinical Director is not expected to carry all administrative responsibilities independently. MonArk clinics have Branch Managers and Program Managers to support clinic operations, allowing the Clinical Director to focus primarily on clinical leadership, quality assurance, supervision, and team development. Supervision and Staff Development The Clinical Director will: Provide supervision, training, feedback, and support to BCBAs, BCaBAs, RBTs, and supervision students Provide high-quality supervision to supervision students pursuing BACB fieldwork or certification requirements Ensure supervision is ethical, meaningful, individualized, and aligned with BACB expectations Support supervision students in developing clinical judgment, professionalism, documentation skills, caregiver collaboration skills, ethical decision-making, and effective supervision practices Support BCBA growth through feedback, coaching, and clinical development Assist with MonArk's BCBA level system, including ongoing feedback and growth planning Support Lead Clinicians in developing leadership, clinical judgment, and supervision skills Help identify training needs across assigned locations Promote a culture of continued learning, accountability, and ethical clinical practice Ethics and Clinical Decision-Making The Clinical Director will: Model ethical decision-making consistent with BACB standards and MonArk expectations Support BCBAs and clinic teams in navigating clinical and ethical concerns Refer concerns to the Clinical Leadership Ethics Committee when additional guidance is needed Help ensure services remain individualized, medically necessary, client-centered, and family-supportive Advocate for ethical service delivery, appropriate dosage recommendations, and responsible clinical decision-making Qualifications Required Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, or related field Current BCBA certification in good standing with the BACB Current Ohio COBA license in good standing Minimum of 3 years of BCBA experience Experience providing quality supervision to supervision students Experience supervising RBTs and supporting clinical staff development Experience completing assessments, treatment plans, behavior intervention plans, and clinical reports Strong understanding of BACB ethics, supervision standards, ABA clinical standards, and payer documentation expectations Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to lead across multiple locations Ability to maintain at least 20 billable hours per week through clinical activities Strong organization, follow-through, and professional judgment Preferred Experience in clinic-based ABA services Experience supporting multiple locations or multiple clinical teams Experience in quality assurance, treatment plan review, documentation review, or payer audit preparation Experience mentoring newer BCBAs or Lead Clinicians Interest in interdisciplinary collaboration with SLP, OT, COTA, and related therapy providers Interest in leadership growth within a values-driven ABA organization Benefits Eligible full-time Clinical Directors are eligible for: Health, dental and vision insurance 401(k) with company match up to 3% Company-paid BCBA attendance at the OHABA state conference In-person CEU opportunities Professional and leadership development support Support from a Clinical Leadership Ethics Committee Branch Manager and Program Manager support across clinic locations Opportunity for remote administrative time or half-day PTO weekly, based on role expectations, clinical needs, and approval Monday-Friday schedule with no weekend requirement Growth Opportunities As MonArk continues to grow, the Clinical Director role may provide opportunities for continued advancement, including: Expanded clinical leadership responsibilities Regional Clinical Director opportunities Clinical quality leadership Training and supervision leadership Involvement in policy, ethics, and clinical systems development Work Environment The Clinical Director works in a professional, supportive, clinic-based environment with collaboration across ABA and therapy disciplines.
