Job Description

As Patient Financial Coordinator with AFC Physical Medicine of San Tan, your work can have Purpose. You will be helping as many people as possible to get off medication, avoid surgery, and restore their health by connecting them with the care they need. About the
Role :
In this position you will meet with new patients to consult for their needs and goals. After they meet with our Chiropractors and Physician Assistants, you review with them their recommended treatment plan, insurance coverage, estimated patient responsibility and payment options. You will audit superbills and provider documentation for accuracy & completion and communicate with the billing team any changes in the patient's plan. Duties also include assisting at the front desk, scanning, filing, and misc. administrative duties. Basic computer skills are a must•familiarity with Google Suite & Tebra/Kareo is a huge plus! You are most likely a fit if … You enjoy engaging with new people and helping them access the care that they need You have working knowledge of insurance (copay, coinsurance, deductible) and are able to do basic math computations, including percentages to calculate a patient's out of pocket cost for their recommended care (based on the insurance verification) You have Integrity•commitment to maintaining consistent attendance, professional appearance, positive attitude You utilize Creativity•thinking outside the known & looking for new answers to problems that arise Not going to work if ... 1+ year experience working in a medical or chiropractic office Basic understanding of health insurance types/plans Please include a brief explanation of your work experience and why you are the right choice for our team.
