East Providence, RI Full-Time | Day Shift | Monday-Friday Join Our Team Hattie Ide Chaffee Home is seeking a compassionate, organized, and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our leadership team as a Unit Manager . This is an excellent opportunity for an RN who enjoys leading a team, building relationships with residents and families, and ensuring exceptional quality of care in a supportive, resident-centered environment. As a Unit Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day clinical operations of an assigned nursing unit while collaborating with physicians, interdisciplinary staff, residents, and families to provide outstanding care. Responsibilities Supervise and support nursing staff on the assigned unit. Ensure high-quality resident care in accordance with state and federal regulations. Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges. Monitor resident assessments, care plans, and clinical documentation. Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives. Communicate effectively with physicians, residents, and family members. Assist with staff education, coaching, and performance management. Promote infection prevention and resident safety. Respond to clinical issues and provide hands-on nursing support as needed. Maintain compliance with all CMS, RIDOH, and facility policies and procedures. Qualifications Current Rhode Island Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in long-term care or skilled nursing. Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities. Working knowledge of electronic medical records. Ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team.
