Description:
Lowcountry Therapy Group is seeking a compassionate, organized, and customer-focused Patient Care Coordinator to join our pediatric therapy team. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and families while coordinating scheduling, patient intake, insurance verification, and daily administrative operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about providing exceptional service to children and their families. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will: Welcome patients and families with a friendly, professional, and caring attitude. Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments to maximize therapist schedules. Coordinate new patient intake, collect required documentation, and maintain accurate patient records. Verify insurance benefits and obtain authorizations as needed. Answer incoming phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries promptly and professionally. Process patient payments and maintain accurate financial records. Communicate effectively with therapists, families, and team members regarding scheduling and patient needs. Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA and company policies. Assist with general administrative tasks to support the daily operations of the clinic.
Requirements:
HS diploma or G.E.D. required Minimum 2 years in an administrative or receptionist role Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus Ability to work evenings until 6:30pm, potential for Fridays off Previous scheduling experience in a medical environment a plus! Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Drive Able to work with diverse populations (patient, staff) under difficult and stressful situations. Supports the team approach. A passion for pediatrics Excellent communication and personal relationship skills A high standard of quality and attention to detail Impeccable organization, multi-tasking, and time management skills Conveys enthusiasm and sincerity through positive verbal communication, facial expression, and body language.
