Patient Coordinator — Entry Level Hatfield Cosmetic & Family Dentistry | Greer, SC About the Position Hatfield Cosmetic & Family Dentistry is looking for a personable, enthusiastic, and motivated Patient Coordinator to join our team. This is an entry-level position , and while previous dental experience or knowledge is preferred, we are willing to train the right candidate. As our Patient Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for our patients —both in person and over the phone. Because you are often the first impression a patient has of our office, it is essential that you are warm, welcoming, professional, and enthusiastic . We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with people and takes pride in making every patient feel comfortable and valued. Our practice is a two-doctor office , so the Patient Coordinator will be responsible for helping manage and coordinate the schedules for both doctors . This position requires someone who is organized, able to multitask, and comfortable working in a busy environment. Key Responsibilities Serve as the first point of contact for patients and provide a welcoming, positive, and professional experience Answer phones, greet patients, and assist with front-office communication Verify patient dental insurance coverage and benefits Obtain insurance benefit breakdowns for upcoming appointments Manage and coordinate the schedules for two doctors and two hygiene operatories Schedule and coordinate patient appointments efficiently Communicate clearly and professionally with patients regarding their treatment and appointments Maintain, organize, and digitally file correspondence from consulting and referring offices Manage patient-related documentation and digital correspondence Assist with the day-to-day administrative needs of the front office Assist with sterilization and other clinical support duties , particularly on days when the schedule is full Work as part of a team to keep the office running efficiently and provide an excellent patient experience What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is: Warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming Personable and enthusiastic Professional and confident when communicating with patients Organized and detail-oriented A strong multitasker who can manage competing priorities A self-starter who takes initiative rather than waiting to be told what needs to be done Dependable and willing to jump in and help wherever needed Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment A team player with a positive attitude Eager to learn and grow within the dental field Comfortable learning new software, systems, and procedures Previous dental experience or knowledge is preferred, but not required. We are willing to train the right person who has a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and desire to learn.
