This position requires an experienced healthcare operator who can lead the facility, grow its services, and raise the quality of care. This is a confidential search on behalf of our client. We discuss the facility, market, and reporting structure on the initial call, and disclose the employer by name at the second interview. About the role We are looking for an energetic hospital leader to run the day-to-day operations of the hospital and grow both the quality and the volume of care delivered. You will be responsible for inpatient services, the emergency department, and the overall performance of the facility. There is meaningful opportunity to increase inpatient volume and to broaden the services offered. Several other service lines on campus report through separate leadership, so your attention stays on the hospital and on leading a dedicated team. The Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, and department heads report directly to this position. Responsibilities Lead the inpatient program, including utilization review, length of stay, and case mix Lead and enhance emergency department throughput, physician coverage, and patient experience Manage nursing and department leadership across clinical and support services Drive volume growth through referral relationships, transfer capture, and service line development Maintain compliance with CMS Conditions of Participation and continuous survey readiness Manage the facility operating budget with full P&L accountability, including staffing model and cost per adjusted patient day Partner with the corporate team on quality, compliance, and revenue cycle performance Qualifications Three or more years of progressive hospital leadership — administrator, assistant administrator, COO, or multi-department director Bachelor's degree required; MHA, MBA, MSN, or equivalent preferred Working knowledge of hospital operations and the CMS survey process Direct accountability for a facility or departmental operating budget, including labor, supply, and contract cost management Demonstrated record of growing volume, not only maintaining it Clinical background welcome but not required Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Compensation Base salary of $130,000 with performance incentive tied to defined operational and growth targets.
