Job Summary:
The Rehabilitation Services Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of our rehab departments. This position requires strong multitasking skills, excellent communication, and a professional demeanor. You will coordinate and communicate with our insurance verification/authorization team, manage scheduling, manage office workflow, and act as a central liaison between staff, patients, and providers.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day operations of the rehab department office Schedule patient appointments in line with authorization parameters Coordinate / Communicate with the insurance verification team Manage daily reconciliation of charges and assist with billing-related documentation Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, providers, and insurance representatives Maintain organized electronic patient records Track authorizations and ensure timely renewal to prevent interruptions in care Provide administrative support to clinical staff as needed Collaborate with offshore teams and billing departments for efficient workflow Prepare reports and maintain logs in Excel and other software as needed Ensure therapy department and office supplies are stocked and equipment is functioning Uphold HIPAA compliance and confidentiality at all times
Qualifications:
Previous administrative or office management experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting required Knowledge of insurance verification and authorization processes required Experience with patient facing customer service Rehabilitation Technician/ Aide experience is a plus! Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Strong organizational, time management, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment High school diploma or equivalent required

Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8-5 with a 1-hour lunch.
