The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, punctual, professional, and comfortable working with patients, treatment plans, insurance (both medical & dental), and financial responsibilities. Responsibilities include; Coordinate and review patient treatment plans. Verify insurance benefits Prepare treatment plans for medical or dental procedures Handle medical coding tasks such as CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-10 coding to facilitate billing and insurance claims processing. Collect payments for services. Phone coverage by answering calls, scheduling patients, etc... Communicate treatment recommendations, financial information, and next steps to patients. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries professionally and empathetically while maintaining a welcoming environment. Ensure accurate documentation and patient ledgers. Maintain accurate medical records using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, ensuring confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Qualifications Dental/oral surgery office experience preferred. Knowledge of dental insurance and treatment coordination preferred. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong attention to detail and organization. Comfortable discussing treatment and financial arrangements with patients. Dependable, professional, and able to work well as part of a team.
