  • Inpatient Acute Care | Contract Monday-Friday | Pasadena, TX | September 14-October 21, 2026 Sterling Staffing Solutions is actively seeking a qualified Physical Therapist (PT) for a short-term contract opportunity at a 61-bed inpatient acute care hospital in Pasadena, TX.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced hospital-based Physical Therapist with Med-Surg and Orthopedic experience who is available for a consistent Monday-Friday schedule.
POSITION OVERVIEW
As an Inpatient Physical Therapist, you will provide skilled physical therapy services to patients in an acute care hospital setting.
Expected Caseload:
Approximately 12-16 patients per day , depending on daily patient needs and visit types.
Daily workload may include:
Approximately 8 evaluations per day Up to 14 treatment visits per day

Monday-Friday Schedule Options:
8:00 AM-5:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch 8:00 AM-4:30 PM with a 30-minute lunch
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform physical therapy evaluations for acute care patients. Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs. Provide skilled physical therapy treatments and interventions. Treat patients with orthopedic and medical/surgical conditions. Assess mobility, strength, balance, transfers, and functional abilities. Assist patients with safe mobility and discharge planning. Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other healthcare professionals. Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation. Follow hospital policies, procedures, and patient safety standards.
REQUIREMENTS
✔ Active Physical Therapist (PT) license ✔ Inpatient acute care hospital experience ✔ Med-Surg experience ✔ Orthopedic experience ✔ Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills ✔ Excellent communication and documentation skills ✔ Ability to manage a 12-16 patient daily caseload ✔ Available Monday-Friday for the full contract period ✔ Ability to complete facility/vendor credentialing requirements EPIC experience is a plus. EPIC training may be provided/required depending on facility needs.
CREDENTIALING REQUIREMENTS
Selected candidates must complete the facility/vendor onboarding process, which may include: Drug screening Vaccine/immunization records Background and employment verification Facility HR requirements EPIC training, if required
