18hr About Altium Health Altium Health is a behavioral health and substance use treatment clinic dedicated to providing compassionate, accessible, and comprehensive care to our patients. Our services include mental health treatment, substance use treatment, medication management, therapy, IOP, PHP, TMS, ketamine treatment, and detox services. We are looking for a dependable, compassionate, and organized Part-Time Medical Assistant / Care Coordinator to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with patients while also helping coordinate the many details that keep a busy behavioral health clinic running smoothly. Position Overview The Medical Assistant / Care Coordinator will provide clinical and administrative support to our medical team while helping patients navigate their care. This role requires someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment, communicates well with patients and staff, and can effectively balance multiple responsibilities. The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, professional, and willing to jump in wherever needed to support the team and our patients. Responsibilities Medical Assistant Duties Assist providers with patient visits and clinical workflows Obtain and document vital signs and other required patient information Prepare patients for appointments Assist with medication-related workflows as directed by clinical staff Perform or assist with phlebotomy/lab collection as applicable Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Prepare treatment rooms and maintain clean, organized clinical areas Assist with TMS and other treatment services as trained Follow all clinic policies, safety procedures, and HIPAA requirements Communicate patient concerns or changes in condition to the appropriate clinical staff Care Coordination Duties Help coordinate patient appointments and follow-up care Communicate with patients regarding appointments, referrals, and care needs Help patients understand and navigate their treatment schedule Coordinate information between patients, providers, therapists, and other members of the care team Assist with referrals and obtaining necessary records or documentation Help identify barriers that may prevent patients from attending or continuing treatment and communicate concerns to the appropriate team member Follow up on outstanding care-coordination tasks Maintain accurate patient information and documentation in the electronic medical record Assist with patient outreach and appointment reminders when needed General Clinic Support Provide excellent customer service to patients and visitors Answer phones and assist with front-desk coverage when needed Assist with patient check-in/check-out Help maintain an organized and welcoming clinic environment Support other administrative or clinical tasks as assigned Work collaboratively with the front desk, providers, therapists, billing, and administrative team Qualifications Medical Assistant certification preferred Current CPR/BLS certification preferred Previous healthcare or medical office experience preferred Experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, or mental health is a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organization and attention to detail Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA regulations Comfortable working with individuals experiencing mental health or substance use concerns Ability to remain calm, professional, and compassionate in challenging situations Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently while also functioning as part of a team What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people and wants to be part of a team that makes a difference.

Pay:
From $18.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 30.0 per week
