Job Description
Position Summary A local primary care practice is seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-service-focused Patient Access Coordinator to join our growing team. This individual will serve as the first point of contact for our patients and play a critical role in creating an exceptional patient experience from scheduling through check-in and follow-up. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Greet and check in patients in a professional and welcoming manner Schedule appointments and manage provider schedules Verify insurance eligibility and patient demographic information Collect copayments, balances, and required documentation Answer incoming telephone calls and respond to patient inquiries Process patient registration forms and maintain accurate records Coordinate with clinical staff to support efficient patient flow Assist with referrals, medical records requests, and patient communications as needed Maintain compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality requirements Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Medical office or customer service experience preferred Experience with electronic medical records preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Schedule Full-time Monday through Friday Day shift If you enjoy helping patients and thrive in a team-oriented healthcare environment, we encourage you to apply.
