Job Description

Front Desk Receptionist Duties:
  • Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
  • Register new patients and update existing patient information in the system
  • Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
  • Answer phone calls, take messages, and direct calls to the appropriate department or staff member
  • Verify insurance information and collect co-pays or payments from patients
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as faxing, and scanning documents
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a front desk receptionist 2 to 3 years or in a similar role preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is a plus
  • Proficiency in using electronic dental record systems such as Dentrix and Dexis.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle patient inquiries and concerns professionally and efficiently
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
