Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and communicate benefits clearly to patients while maintaining compliance with health regulation policies. Support administrative tasks such as maintaining electronic health records (EHR), updating patient information, and documenting treatment progress accurately. Coordinate with the dental team to ensure timely delivery of appliances, retainers, and other orthodontic devices. Handle phone inquiries professionally, providing detailed information about treatments, appointments, and payment options while maintaining patient confidentiality. Skills Proven experience in a medical office environment or dental practice setting with strong knowledge of healthcare regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and communication purposes. Familiarity with patient management software and electronic health records (EHR/EHR) systems for efficient data entry and retrieval. Excellent customer service skills; able to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations via phone or in person. Knowledge of health insurance policies, billing procedures, and claims processing to assist patients confidently. Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to orthodontics and general dentistry. Ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines and other privacy standards. Exceptional organizational skills including accurate typing speed for efficient documentation and correspondence.
