Job Description
Job description: Come join a compassionate team of mental healthcare professionals at Katie's Way. This is a face-to-face position in the Tacoma/Dupont area. We specialize in providing Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, or deep TMS, to a broad population including active duty and retired military and their dependents. TMS is an FDA-approved, non-invasive treatment option that offers long-term relief for major depression. This revolutionary treatment uses magnetic fields to stimulate areas of the brain that control mood and are underactive in people with depression. Katie's Way provides services across Washington, Alaska, Texas, Colorado, and Kansas. As a PCC/TMS Technician, you'll be the first encounter with our patients, in essence, the face of Katie's Way. We are seeking a candidate who is patient-oriented, personable, positive, organized, and possesses a high degree of accuracy in their work, shows attention to detail, has strong listening and communication skills (on the phone and in person), and has the ability to use and operate all technical equipment and systems. As a support staff employee, you will play a vital role within the organization. We will provide all the required training to the best candidate, and, as we invest with you, our goal is for you to invest in us as well. Welcome to Katie's Way! In this role, your key responsibilities will include:
- Administer TMS treatments to patients.
- Maintain accurate documentation.
- Ensure a safe and therapeutic treatment environment.
- Conduct intake procedures following office guidelines, including patient form completion and privacy acknowledgement.
- Manage patient service functions such as call handling, scheduling, and inquiries.
- Schedule appointments for staff and handle payments from patients.
- Prepare correspondence and clinical reports and address patient billing issues.
- Adhere to facility policies, educational requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Perform additional assigned duties within legal and training parameters.
