We are proactively seeking exceptional professionals interested in supporting critical submarine modernization efforts ashore. Amentum is seeking multiple Deputy On-Site Installation Coordinators (DOSICs) to support NIWC's SWFTS Submarine Modernization Program in Silverdale/Bremerton, Washington. These roles directly support ongoing modernization activities, ensuring installations meet technical, schedule, and quality requirements. Responsibilities
  • Conduct deck-plate audits and surveillances; document and report findings
  • Develop Liaison Action Records (LARs) and Departure From Specification (DFS) packages
  • Prepare
SHIPALT / ECI
Work Authorization Forms (WAFs), tags, and related work control documentation
  • Maintain and manage project schedules to support modernization execution
  • Track planned vs. actual progress and identify discrepancies
  • Identify weak performance areas or risks within Alteration Installation Teams (AITs)
  • Interpret technical drawing issues and provide clarifications or corrective guidance
  • Coordinate with AITs to ensure proper deck-plate work sequencing and workforce alignment
  • Provide written inputs and updates to the Government On-Site Installation Coordinator (OSIC)
  • Participate in Planning and Hotwash events supporting MIWG and TI-NEXT activities
  • Attend Local Maintenance Activities (LMA) meetings, as directed by the OSIC
  • Prepare trip reports, weekly status reports, and technical documentation for drawing issues, LAR submissions, and related items
  • Perform other required duties in support of submarine modernization efforts Minimum Qualifications
  • Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance.

  • Possess a strong work controls background
  • Ability to support limited travel (anticipated 10%)
  • NAVAL Shipyard experience that supported onboard modernization events
  • Ten (10) years of practical experience and High School diploma/GED OR Six (6) years practical experience and an Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology, math, or science; or Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications; or four-year electronics apprentice program Preferred Qualifications
  • Submarine Combat Systems Modernization, WAF and Tagout generation, and modernization work controls experience Benefits Amentum offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: medical dental and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance, long-term and short term disability insurance, 15 days of paid time off, 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to 56 hours of paid sick leave each year, 12 days of paid holiday leave, and parental leave.
Compensation Details:
$38.19 - $50.00
