Medical Billing Specialist/Office Manager The Medical Billing Specialist/Office Manager should be a business-oriented individual that is highly organized, solution-focused, optimistic and creative. This same candidate will need to exhibit honesty, dedication to our company and shared mission, flexibility, level-headedness, and administrative prowess as it relates to both financial and technical aspects of the business. Lastly, the Senior Billing Specialist will need to be a problem solver who can multi-task and maintain open lines of communication. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Supervise administrative staff, delegate tasks, and provide performance feedback Manage day-to-day office operations, accounts payable and receivable, scheduling meetings, and handling correspondence Process and oversee all billing and claims, and the credentialing of licensed personnel Create and issue accurate invoices to customers and clients for services rendered Monitor client accounts for overdue payments and resolve billing discrepancies Maintain and manage both physical and digital filing systems, ensuring that records are organized and easily accessible Maintain regular communication with the Chairman and key staff (exercising full disclosure of systemic challenges, impending expenditures, and possible alternatives of navigating both) Work with front office personnel to complete client intakes and schedule appointments, medical records request, and ordering of office supplies Assess daily QuickBooks entries, day sheets, EFT's and/or credit card payments, and maintaining daily records Manage contract negotiations and Business Associate Agreements with ongoing vendors Ensure that all state and company policies are enacted with regards to record retention Assist our sub-contracted CPA with any tasks pertinent to the annual filing of taxes Review (and subsequently attend to) monthly statements, aging reports, remittance advice, issues with prior authorization, claims denials, and/or administrative requests Generate detailed reports on billing activities, account statuses, and payment collections for management review

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE A
minimum of 2 years of verifiable work experience in an office management role A minimum of 5 years of experience as billing specialist working with billing and claims; medical and/or mental health billing. Candidates with a Bachelor's or Associate Degree in business administration, management, or a related field are invited to apply Demonstrated proficiency with QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, Procentive, and Forward Health.
