As a Patient Scheduling Coordinator at Sagent Behavioral Health, you will play an important role in connecting patients with mental health services and supporting them throughout their care journey. This position serves as a first point of contact for new and established patients and referents by providing information about services, connecting patients with providers who align with their needs, scheduling intake and follow-up appointments, and responding to inquiries. The role is essential in creating a welcoming and seamless experience for patients from their initial contact through ongoing care.

Ensures a positive first impression for patients and referents by guiding them through the intake process with professionalism and empathy. Conducts patient interactions through incoming and outgoing phone calls while responding to inquiries in a prompt and courteous manner, providing accurate information or triaging as appropriate. Register new patients by collecting and verifying demographic and insurance information. Act as the point of contact for all intra-office referrals and inquiries by providing education on all services, intake procedures, and scheduling appointments. Process internal and external referrals and communicate scheduling outcomes. Handle patient concerns and crises with empathy and patience and collaborate with site leadership to resolve as needed. Collaborate with clinical staff regarding patient care issues and scheduling. Maintain awareness in trends, patterns, and needs for new services. Attend mandatory meetings and trainings.
Requirements:
Highschool diploma or equivalent. Experience working in health care facilities and an interest in behavioral health is strongly preferred. It is clearly understood that all names and materials seen in this position are strictly and highly confidential due to state and federal regulations on patient privacy. Compliance of all HIPAA related regulations will be strictly enforced by Management. Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Physical requirements include occasionally lifting and moving office supplies which can include reams of paper that weigh up to 50lbs.
Compensation:
This is a non-exempt position. Total earnings for this position will be $17.00 per hour. Actual compensation may be determined by various factors such as licensure, experience, skillset, internal equity, schedule and/or location. Estimates are factored on a 1.0 FTE. Employees in these positions are W2.
