The SCO Appointment Agent/PSC Float plays a critical role in facilitating seamless scheduling and coordination of appointments within the healthcare and social assistance sector. This position ensures that clients and patients receive timely access to services by managing appointment logistics efficiently and accurately. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of benefits knowledge to assist clients in navigating their healthcare options and eligibility. As a float position, the agent must be adaptable, supporting multiple service centers and adjusting to varying workloads and priorities. Ultimately, this role contributes to enhancing client satisfaction and operational efficiency by providing expert appointment management and benefits guidance.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare benefits and social assistance programs. Proven experience in appointment scheduling or customer service within a healthcare or social assistance environment. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work flexibly across multiple locations or departments as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate degree or higher in healthcare administration, social work, or a related field. Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) or scheduling software. Familiarity with federal and state healthcare regulations and benefits programs. Bilingual abilities to support diverse client populations. Previous experience in a float or multi-site support role.
