Job Description

We are seeking highly experienced Epic Beaker Program Managers to support a large-scale, multi-year Epic Beaker implementation for a leading healthcare organization. Ideal candidates will bring deep Epic Beaker Anatomic Pathology (AP) and/or Clinical Pathology (CP) experience and have a proven track record leading complex laboratory implementations. As a key leader within the program, you will drive strategic initiatives across laboratory operations, clinical stakeholders, physician informatics, and IT organizations. You will play a critical role in ensuring successful implementation, adoption, workflow optimization, governance, and operational transformation throughout the Epic Beaker journey. These positions are expected to support a multi-year program with significant future growth opportunities as implementations expand across additional regions.

Duration:

6+ months (with the potential to extend) W2

Hourly Rate:

$80-100/hr DOE

+ Lead large-scale Epic Beaker AP and/or CP implementation programs from planning through deployment and optimization.

+ Serve as the primary liaison between IT, laboratory operations, physician informatics teams, and business stakeholders.

+ Drive business and operational discussions while ensuring alignment between technical and clinical objectives.

+ Oversee and coordinate 20+ concurrent workstreams, managing interdependencies, risks, timelines, and stakeholder communications.

+ Lead workflow analysis, process redesign, standardization initiatives, and change management activities across laboratory operations.

+ Partner with leadership teams to establish governance structures, implementation strategies, and operational readiness plans.

+ Provide subject matter expertise in laboratory operations, specimen workflows, orders, collections, and related clinical processes.

+ Facilitate discussions at both executive and operational levels, helping stakeholders navigate complex implementation decisions.

+ Support organizational adoption and optimization efforts to ensure long-term success of Epic Beaker solutions.

+ Extensive experience leading Epic Beaker AP and/or Clinical Pathology (CP) implementations.

+ Proven success serving as a Program Manager or implementation leader on complex healthcare technology transformation initiatives.

+ Deep understanding of laboratory operations, workflows, governance models, and process improvement methodologies.

+ Ability to operate as both a strategic leader and hands-on subject matter expert, working "in the weeds" of implementation activities when needed.

+ Experience managing multiple large-scale workstreams simultaneously while balancing competing priorities and stakeholder needs.

+ Strong executive presence and communication skills with the ability to engage technical teams, operational leaders, clinicians, and business stakeholders.

+ Demonstrated expertise in workflow redesign, stakeholder engagement, change management, and implementation governance.

+ Prior experience serving as a trusted advisor and implementation leader within complex healthcare environments.

+ Availability to support Pacific Time Zone operations preferred.

+ Willingness to commit to a long-term engagement supporting a multi-year implementation program.

+ Expertise in Anatomic Pathology (AP), Clinical Pathology (CP), or both disciplines.

+ Previous leadership responsibilities on large-scale laboratory transformation initiatives.

+ Experience driving enterprise-wide Epic Beaker deployments across complex health systems.
