Schedule :

Monday to Friday, day-time. No nights, no weekends, no on-call. Help bring cancer care to rural communities that don't have it! Eastern Oregon Cancer Center is a community-based radiation oncology clinic in Pendleton. We're hiring a Program Manager to lead a grant-funded initiative expanding access to treatment across Eastern Oregon — a 12-18 month role with a path to becoming permanent. The work is externally funded, milestone-driven, and carries real documentation and reporting requirements. You'll own the program's deliverables. And roughly half your time is spent out in the community, not at a desk. What you'll do Own the program work plan and keep milestones on schedule Manage relationships with partner sites and coordinate implementation across clinic staff, vendors, and consultants Coordinate community outreach alongside local community health workers at partner sites Research purchasing options and analyze costs; prepare recommendations for leadership review. Track budgets, vendor invoices, and supporting documentation to grant standards Prepare accurate, on-time reporting for leadership and funders Build relationships with referring physicians, rural clinics, hospitals, and community organizations What we require 3+ years managing programs or projects in a professional setting Demonstrated experience taking a program from start through launch and completion — you've owned something end to end, not supported someone else's project Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel Strong written and verbal communication skills Valid driver's license and ability to travel 10-15% within the region Preferred Healthcare, public health, or community health experience Bachelor's degree What we're looking for You'll be the first person to hold this job. Some of it doesn't exist yet, and you'll build it. This role involves relationship building and high professionalism; how you carry yourself matters. We're also looking for someone who gets things done and works . You'll be given objectives and expected to build the path to them. Location and travel Based in Pendleton. This role is primarily on-site and in the field. There is flexibility for remote days. Travel is 10-15%, primarily within Eastern Oregon. We're open to candidates from Eastern Washington, the Western Idaho area, and surrounding communities, provided you have real familiarity with — and genuine interest in — Eastern Oregon and rural healthcare. First interviews are conducted by video, so there's no travel required to explore this. About the term This role is grant-funded through the program's launch phase, with a defined term of 12-18 months. However, there is potential to extend and transition into a permanent role, depending on the program's success.
