Job Description:
Position Overview The Clinical Equipment Planning Project Manager is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of medical equipment planning projects within healthcare construction and renovation environments. This role requires a combination of technical knowledge in medical equipment, strong project management skills, financial acumen, and the ability to collaborate across clinical, design, and construction teams. The ideal candidate brings hands-on familiarity with equipment planning deliverables and can operate effectively with minimal supervision in fast-paced healthcare settings. Education Bachelor's degree preferred but not required Equivalent experience in healthcare facilities, medical equipment planning, or clinical operations will be considered in lieu of degree Experience Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience in medical equipment planning within healthcare or clinical environments Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel, including the ability to build, manage, and teach others to use complex spreadsheets Demonstrated familiarity with medical equipment nomenclature and clinical terminology Experience successfully completing small-to-mid-scale equipment planning projects from initiation through closeout Core Competencies & Responsibilities Design & Construction Coordination Ability to read, interpret, and communicate deficiencies in architectural and MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) drawings accurately and in a timely manner Ability to conduct walk-throughs of active construction sites and identify equipment rough-ins and related field conditions Proficiency working with CADD drafters to create, review, and mark up equipment drawings Equipment Planning & PEL Management Ability to create a Project Equipment List (PEL) from scratch with minimal assistance Ability to meet with client stakeholders to review the PEL and incorporate modifications as needed Ability to gather equipment specifications and cut sheets for all items on the PEL Ability to request and obtain approval on shop drawings for equipment included on the PEL Ability to evaluate existing equipment to determine reuse feasibility and conduct physical inventory capturing all specifications required by the design team Procurement, Vendor Management & Delivery Ability to solicit, negotiate, and review vendor quotes for equipment on a project Ability to coordinate delivery, installation, and vendor training activities throughout project duration Ability to track and manage equipment deliveries, installations, and training schedules within project timelines Demonstrated understanding of equipment lead times and ability to manage procurement to align with construction schedules Financial Management & Scheduling Ability to accurately track and report financial status of projects using MPR Financials or equivalent tools Ability to identify and recommend cost savings opportunities throughout the project lifecycle Ability to create and manage a project schedule for CAM-run projects with accuracy and accountability Clinical Knowledge & Stakeholder Engagement Ability to understand and contribute to basic clinical workflow discussions in support of equipment planning decisions Recognized as a credible contributor by customers, peers, and management Demonstrates ability to work independently with minimal to no supervision, as well as collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team Data Management & Documentation Maintains all project data in a well-organized, accessible format including PELs, cut sheets, quotes, shop drawings, and purchase orders Proficient in Microsoft Excel; capable of training others on spreadsheet use and data management best practices
Pay:
