THIS POSITION MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR A HYBRID WORK SCHEDULE. THE AMOUNT OF TELEWORK IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE DEPARTMENT AND IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE AS BUSINESS NEEDS ARISE.
Under general direction, provides administrative leadership for a medium-sized field office. Ensures services are delivered in compliance with laws, policies, and procedures governing the Disability Insurance Program. Emphasizes program integrity and proper duration control. Oversees personnel actions to ensure appropriate staffing levels, capacity building, and open communication. Understands and helps effectively administer the field office budget. Uses analysis and data-gathering tools in decision making processes. Maintains a marketing program which includes educating and partnering with program customers. Complies with all system security, internal control, and employee safety requirements. Acts as a coach and role model to members of the management team and to all staff. Supports the Branch and Department vision, mission, values, and goals. This position allows for a hybrid telework schedule, which is subject to change under EDD's telework policy. California Government Code Section 14200 requires employees to reside in California in order to telework. Employees may be required to report to their headquarters office as needed for operational needs, required scheduled in office days associated with the hybrid schedule, and other activities including but not limited to new employee training. Position located at 606 Healdsburg Ave., Santa Rosa, CA 95404. Effective July 1, 2025, specific Bargaining Units and associated Excluded State employees are subject to a salary reduction between 2%•4.62% in exchange for hours in the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) per month.
