Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Hearing Place is a private audiology practice proudly serving Northern Colorado through five convenient locations in Fort Collins, Windsor, Johnstown, Sterling, and Brighton. We are currently seeking a full-time Audiology Assistant to support our Windsor and Johnstown (I-25 & Highway 34) clinics. This position will train in our Windsor clinic. After training clinic assignment will be determined, either floating between Johnstown and Windsor clinics, or full-time in Windsor.

$21-$24/hr

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
High school diploma or equivalent High level of customer service, both through in-person and electronic communications Careful attention to detail Ability to work as a team member and individually with good interpersonal communication Excellent organizational skills Ability to multitask Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines Excellent customer service skills and ability to be compassionate Neat and well-groomed professional appearance Comfortable learning new technology Previous audiology or hearing care experience strongly preferred but not required Proficiency in Spanish beneficial but not required
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assisting patients with their hearing aid needs such as: Guiding patients through cleaning, care, and maintenance of their hearing aids Assisting walk-in patients with broken or malfunctioning parts Assisting patients with practicing putting hearing aids on and taking them off Assisting patients with Bluetooth connection setup and troubleshooting Fielding technical questions from patients and escalating them to the Audiologist as is appropriate Perform hearing aid clean and checks and troubleshooting for scheduled and walk in appointments Make follow-up calls to patients at the request of the Audiologist Manage all incoming and outgoing hearing aid repairs Removal line repair and retubing of hearing aids Provide charting assistance as requested by the audiologists. Perform electroacoustic analysis and first fits on all devices that come into the office Prepping hearing aids for fittings Assist with initial intake of new patients and annual evaluations Ensure all office computers have the most updated software Assisting with signing of paperwork and coaching on cleaning, care, and maintenance during hearing aid fittings Provide backup on answering phones during business hours Work closely with Audiologist and PCC in office to ensure seamless patient care Responsible for keeping up to date on new product releases, important changes to manufacturer apps/Bluetooth capabilities, changes to hearing aid styles/parts (ie. wax filters, receivers, microphone filters, domes, etc.), attending virtual trainings during business hours as needed Prepare loaner/demo hearing aids for patients Occasionally handling inbound calls and patient check in based on clinic needs Office cleaning and supply management •Responsibilities are subject to change as the Employee learns and grows in their position
