Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical history and explaining testing processes clearly. Utilize hearing aid fitting software and programming tools such as NOAH and hearing aid programming software to customize devices for each patient. Educate patients on device operation, maintenance, and care, ensuring they feel confident in managing their hearing aids. Manage patient records efficiently within EMR/EHR systems while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care plans, including understanding medical terminology and physiology relevant to hearing health. Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, managing expectations, and ensuring a positive experience throughout the assessment and fitting process. Experience Previous experience in clinical audiology or a related healthcare setting is preferred, with a strong foundation in hearing assessments and hearing aid fitting. Familiarity with medical software such as NOAH, patient management systems, and EMR/EHR platforms is highly desirable. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology of the auditory system, and medical terminology related to audiology enhances effectiveness in this role. Experience working with pediatric populations (pediatrics) is a plus, demonstrating versatility in patient care. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and compassionately to patients of all ages. Basic understanding of ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases) is beneficial for documentation purposes.
