At Sincerely, The Village Doula, we believe every family deserves rest, support, and compassionate care during the newborn stage. We're looking for experienced, dependable individuals to join our team as Overnight Newborn Support Specialists, providing non-medical overnight newborn care that allows parents to rest and recover while remaining in the comfort of their own home. What You'll Do As an Overnight Newborn Support Specialist, you will provide overnight care for newborns in homes throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania while a parent or guardian remains in the home.

Responsibilities may include:

Respond to the newborn's nighttime needs, including soothing, diapering, burping, and settling. Provide parent-prepared bottles or bring the baby to the breastfeeding parent according to the family's plan. Follow safe-sleep practices and the family's written care instructions. Wash bottles and pump parts used during the shift. Maintain a written or digital feeding, diaper, and sleep log. Wake the parent promptly for agreed-upon situations or concerns. Leave the newborn-care area orderly at the end of the shift. Applicant Qualifications At least 21 years old. Substantial recent newborn-care experience. Current infant CPR/First Aid certification. Required Pennsylvania background clearances and verified references. Completion of enhanced SVD newborn, safe-sleep, feeding-handling, and emergency training. Ability to remain alert, attentive, and professional throughout overnight shift Important Role Information This is a non-medical newborn support position. Overnight Newborn Support Specialists provide hands-on care and practical support but do not perform nursing or medical services. Overnight Newborn Support Specialists do not: Provide medical advice, diagnosis, or clinical care. Make independent decisions regarding feeding, medication, or sleep training. Guarantee a baby will sleep through the night. Perform general housekeeping beyond tasks directly related to newborn care. All team members are expected to maintain strict confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of professionalism, safety, and respect for every family we serve.
