Position Summary:

Histotechnician We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Histotechnician to join our state-of-the-art laboratory in Scottsdale, AZ . This role plays a vital part in preparing surgical specimens for both gross and microscopic examination. The ideal candidate will demonstrate precision, efficiency, and adaptability in a fast-paced laboratory setting. The working hours for this role will be from 12:00 pm - 8:30 pm.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform all routine histology procedures including grossing, embedding, microtomy, H&E and special stains (manual and automated). Ensure accurate patient identification, labeling, and documentation throughout specimen processing. Collaborate with pathologists and assist with specialized procedures as needed. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment in compliance with quality and safety standards. Manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Qualifications:

Associate's degree or higher in a related field. Minimum of 2 years' hands-on experience in a histology laboratory preferred. Certification as a Histotechnologist (HT or HTL) through ASCP or equivalent strongly preferred. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize in a high-volume environment. Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor. Flexibility with start times and availability to support lab operations as needed. Why GoPath?
