Histotechnologist II - Pathology UCLA Health - 4.1 Los Angeles, CA Job Details 1 day ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Medical laboratory work experience Full Job Description Description Under the supervision of the Histology Manager and Supervisor, the Histotechnologist processes to paraffin, embeds, sections and stains tissue specimens for microscopic diagnosis and/or research. Performs H&E and special stains according to established protocols. Maintains workload, deadline, quality control and other logs as needed. Interacts with faculty, residents and grossing personnel to solve any problems regarding work lists and other orders. Works overtime, holidays, weekends and on-call as needed. Maintains a clean and properly maintained work area. Willingness to work independently as well as contribute to the goals of a team environment. Adheres to all Hospital and university policies, procedures, and safety regulations. Performs other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications HT or HTL certification High School Diploma or Equivalent 5+ years experience in Histology
