Job Description

Job Summary DTR Labs is seeking an experienced Histotechnician to join our Boston-area laboratory. This is a full-time, on-site role supporting a range of preclinical and translational studies. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on histology experience and prior work in a GLP-regulated environment. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with pathologists and scientific teams across diverse programs, with meaningful exposure to study design, assay development, and data generation. Responsibilities Perform routine histology procedures including tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and H&E staining Conduct special stains and support IHC/ISH workflows as needed Ensure all work is performed in compliance with GLP standards and internal SOPs Maintain accurate documentation and study records Perform quality control checks on tissue sections and staining outputs Troubleshoot technical issues and assist with workflow optimization Support sample tracking, organization, and general lab operations Collaborate with pathologists and scientific staff to meet study timelines Requirements 3+ years of hands-on histology experience Demonstrated experience working in a GLP-regulated environment Strong proficiency in embedding, microtomy, and routine staining High attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment Preferred Qualifications HT or HTL (ASCP) certification Experience in a CRO or biotech setting Experience with IHC, ISH, or digital pathology workflows Compensation $80,000 - $100,000 per year Final compensation will be commensurate with level of GLP experience and overall qualifications About DTR Labs DTR Labs is a pathologist-led histopathology CRO supporting preclinical and translational research. With laboratories in Dallas and the Boston area, we partner closely with biotech and CRO teams to deliver high-quality histology, advanced staining, and pathology support with strong turnaround times.
