Job Description
Opus Pathology is currently looking for Histotechnicians to join our Histology team! Multiple shifts available. Monday-Friday 10:00pm-6:30am, No weekends, No holidays Monday-Friday 12:00am-8:30am, No weekends, No holidays Monday-Friday 3:00am-11:30am, No weekends, No holidays
JOB SUMMARY
A Histotechnician prepares human body tissue for examination by the Pathologists. This position performs embedding, microtomy, slide labeling, special stains, and all histology related tasks.JOB RESPONSIBILTIES
- Section all types of paraffin embedded tissue
- Proficient in all Histology related tasks (microtomy, embedding, special stains)
- Proficient with special stain slide QC
- Works with entire histology team with respect and cooperation
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate's in science (preferred)
- Registered as Histology Technician HT (ASCP) or Histolotechnologist HTL (ASCP) (preferred)
