Certified Medical Assistant — Dependability and Professionalism RequiredJob Overview We are seeking a highly dependable, punctual, and professional Certified Medical Assistant. This position is for someone who takes their responsibilities seriously, arrives on time, works well with others, and consistently provides excellent patient care. Reliability is not optional. Employees are expected to report to work on time, ready to work, and prepared to contribute throughout the entire shift. Frequent lateness, unnecessary absences, poor communication, workplace drama, negativity, and leaving responsibilities for coworkers will not be tolerated. We operate as a team. We are looking for mature professionals who understand that their attendance, attitude, and performance directly affect patients, providers, and coworkers. Responsibilities Arrive on time and be fully prepared to begin working at the scheduled start time. Welcome patients and prepare them for examinations. Obtain and accurately document vital signs, medical histories, and medications. Assist healthcare providers with examinations and clinical procedures. Perform blood draws and properly prepare laboratory specimens. Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider and permitted by applicable regulations. Perform basic in-office laboratory testing. Maintain complete and accurate electronic health records. Assist with appointment scheduling, referrals, prior authorizations, prescription requests, and patient follow-up. Keep examination rooms clean, organized, stocked, and ready for patients. Follow HIPAA, infection-control, and clinic safety procedures. Support coworkers and help complete shared responsibilities without repeatedly being asked. Communicate respectfully and professionally with patients, providers, and team members. Accept constructive feedback and take responsibility for correcting mistakes. Initiative and the ability to recognize what needs to be done. Flexibility when clinic needs or priorities change. The ability to follow instructions, policies, and established procedures. Respect for coworkers, patients, providers, and management. Qualifications Current Medical Assistant certification from a recognized or accredited program. Phlebotomy certification or willingness to complete an approved certification course. Previous experience in a medical office, clinic, or urgent care setting is preferred. Working knowledge of medical terminology and basic anatomy. Experience with electronic health record systems is preferred. Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills. Ability to multitask and remain professional in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to patient confidentiality and high-quality care.
