Job Summary We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide exceptional in-home care to clients across various settings. The ideal candidate will support individuals with diverse needs, including elderly, chronically ill, or those recovering from illness or surgery. This role involves assisting with daily activities, ensuring safety, and promoting independence within the comfort of clients' homes. Candidates with experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospice care are highly valued. A strong commitment to patient care and a caring attitude are essential for success in this position. Duties Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance Support with medication administration following prescribed instructions Assist with meal preparation and feeding as required Help with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment Monitor and report on clients' health status and any changes in condition Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation Assist with mobility and transfers using proper techniques to prevent injury Support clients with activities of daily living such as toileting and hygiene routines Drive clients to appointments or errands when necessary, ensuring safe transportation Implement behaviour management strategies for clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease Requirements Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospice, or home care is preferred Knowledge of patient care protocols including Alzheimer's, dementia, and senior care Certification in first aid and CPR is advantageous Valid driving licence and access to reliable transportation for client visits Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for mobility assistance or transfers Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients efficiently Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to caregiving Ability to handle medication administration accurately and responsibly Flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, or weekends as required This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support within their own homes.
